  I've been a member at Bfcu for years. It was my first Checking account in high school and continued to serve my wife and I after we got married. Lately, there have been some things happening that is dropping our love of this bank. The most recent is that they now charge their own members a fee now to cash a check from another source. What good is being a bank member if your going to be charged the same fee as a non-member to cash your check? The final nail in the coffin however, is that they absolutely refuse to grant a real estate loan to us. When I ask why, they tell me that my credit score combined with my wife's is not high enough. They gave me a number of where it should be and told me to get a credit card so we could improve our credit. I then decided to check my own score and when I did, our score was 100pts higher than their goal. More importantly, my wife and I have paid off 2 major loans with them in the past 6 years with excellent pay history... So what gives? Were looking for another bank.
